Inductive measuring systems
Inductive measuring systems -withstanding
up to 800°C; suitable for aluminium (Al),
magnesium (Mg), lead (Pb), tin (Sn), zinc
(Zn). Other materials on request!
Inductive level measuring systems are used
to regulate, control or measure filling
levels in melt and holding furnaces, intermediate
vessels, channels and launders. The measuring
systems are available in a submersible version
and a non-contact version.

Continuous submerged probe
The submersible probes from Carli Precimeter GmbH
are a high-tech product. They
work in the immersed condition with an appropriate
protective tube at a melt temperature of up
to 800°C and can therefore also be used
in closed systems without forced air cooling.
With an airtight adapter available from
Carli Precimeter GmbH, the probes
can also be used in closed systems with
low pressure castings.
Only the best quality materials are used,
combined with a good quality assurance system.
Each probe is tested before delivery and
the results are documented.
The "continuous immersion probe"
is a system that directly registers the
exact level in the melt through a protective
tube. Standard lengths are up to a meter.
Further lengths are possible.

Continuous level probe (dual)
The continuous (dual) level probe was developed
in order to be able to measure two superimposed
levels (e.g. magnesium/salt, aluminium/salt).
This application is typical in the electrolysis
of primary metal. This submersible probe version
also needs an appropriate protective tube.

Homogeneity submerged probe
The homogeneity submerged probe is intended
to assist casters in achieving good homogeneity
after fusion of the base material with alloy
additives as the final product without major
differences in the concentration of alloyed
material.
The probes work in the immersed condition
at a temperature of up to 800°C and
can be used in closed systems without forced
air cooling.
A gastight adapter is required for the appropriate
sealing.

Proximity level-measuring probe
This contactless measuring probe is made for
smaller measuring ranges. The measuring range
depends on the diameter of the probe. For
the standard probe with a probe diameter of
115 mm,
a measuring range of 100 mm is achieved.
A major advantage is remote operation in
relation
to the melt. The probe should not come into
direct contact with liquid metal. For extreme
applications in which heavy splashing cannot
be ruled out, the probe should be protected
with a monalite protection hood.
The probes can withstand up to 800°C
and can also be used in closed systems without
forced air cooling. They must not however
come into contact with an open fire, e.g.
burners, since the operating temperature
of the probe can easily be exceeded as a
result.

Ring probe (light)
The light version of the ring probe was developed
to measure the melt inside a ceramic riser
tube in low-pressure casting systems.
The ring probe is pushed over the tubing,
so that the injection process can be started
with rising melt from a preadjusted reference
point.

Ring probe (heavy)
The heavy version of the ring probe replaces
the connection between the holding furnace
and mould (upper tool part) for low pressure
pouring. During the casting process, the melt
rises in a tube into the ring probe area.
The casting process can be started from
a preadjusted reference point.

Proximity probe (ladle)
This special probe is used with ladle robots,
which automatically extract molten metal from
holding furnaces or crucibles.
Advantages:
• no contact with the melt
• no oxide adherence
• no corrosion
• exact reference starting point
