Vertical continuous casting (tilting furnace)
The specimen application shows the arrangement
of a vertical continuous casting process using
our measuring system. The probe performs contactless
scanning of the surface of the melt. The electric
or hydraulic drive of the tilting furnace
is continuously controlled by the appropriate
electronics.
Vertical continuous casting (Tundish)
The specimen application shows the arrangement
of a vertical continuous casting process using
our measuring system to obtain a continuous
casting process, in spite of a long channel
and an uneven metal surface. In addition,
the entire channel system is monitored by
double probe detection to prevent overflow.
Vertical continuous casting

of a vertical continuous casting process,
which operates with two systems from Carli Precimeter GmbH.

Horizontal continuous casting
Example of use, showing a casting process
in which our measuring system performs two
tasks:
• Controlling the tilting furnace
by means of a proximity probe, in order
to
maintain a constant level in the channel.
