Charging control
In order to monitor the charging of the furnace,
Carli Precimeter GmbH has developed
probes that facilitate and guarantee charging
of the furnace.

Filter monitoring
In order to be able to monitor filters or
channels in closed or open systems, Carli Precimeter GmbH offers proximity probes
that are used to control a tilting furnace
or automatic plug unit via electronic output
signals.

Ladle automation
As an alternative to electrode scanning, Carli Precimeter GmbH offers a purpose-built
proximity probe to allow positioning of the
exact operating point of the ladle.
The advantages are:
• no contact with the melt
• no oxide adherence
• no corrosion
• accurate approach of the point of
reference

Homogeneity measurement
In order to achieve an even distribution of
alloys in the basic material, Carli Precimeter GmbH has developed a probe to monitor
and correct the consistency of the product
prior to completion of the end product.

Tilting furnace control
In order to ensure a continuous, even casting
process, Carli Precimeter GmbH has
developed a tilting furnace control system
consisting of a contactless measuring probe
and electronic measurement system.
The analog output signal of the electronic
system is connected to the control of the
tilting furnace.

Measurement in the high-temperature range
The high-temperature proximity switch from
Carli Precimeter GmbH was developed
due to constantly rising demands to allow
contactless scanning of mobile parts in open
or closed high-temperature applications.
The high-temperature proximity switch is
made of stainless material and is therefore
designed to suit the rough environment in
the companies for which it was made.

Measurement of different levels
The continuous dual submersed probe from Carli Precimeter GmbH was developed for
applications typically found in electrolysis.
Two superimposed levels can be measured, e.g.
aluminium / salt or magnesium / salt.
Since it is well known that very aggressive
chemical reactions take place during electrolysis
processes, it is essential to select an
appropriate protective tube for the submerged
probe.

Low-pressure casting
In order to control the process of low pressure
pouring, Carli Precimeter GmbH has
developed a ring probe, allowing the casting
process to be started from a pre-programmed
reference point.

Channel monitoring
In order to control or influence the level
in the channel in closed or open systems,
Carli Precimeter GmbH offers proximity
probes that use the output signal of the probe
electronics, i.o. they help to control the
level by accurate positioning of a tilting
furnace.

Sand casting
In sand casting, the appropriate measuring
electronics from Carli Precimeter GmbH monitor and control mould filling at
the riser tube by a proximity probe.
Filling can be performed by a tilting furnace
or a plug control unit.

Plug Control
In order to achieve a continuous, low-turbulence
casting process in a vertical or horizontal
continuous casting plant, Carli Precimeter GmbH has developed an electromotor-driven
plug control system.
The system is based on the old scale principle.
The center balance support is adjustable
to allow variable speed or force for the
specific casting processes.
The plug positioning control consists of
a probe to measure the filling level, a
drive unit and a control unit.

Continuous casting
The measuring systems from Carli Precimeter GmbH are ideally suited to allow continuous
control and accurate measurement of the quality
of the melt during the process, consisting
of one or more proximity probes and the control
unit or drive unit.

Two chamber system
Various different measuring systems from Carli Precimeter GmbH can be employed for
the optimum monitoring and control of a two
chamber system.
An economically priced compact system is
the Model MGK 1002, which offers the advantage
of being able to process both probe systems
simultaneously.
